These workshops are suitable for all levels of education and all kinds of people. All that is needed is enthusiasm and the will to play. Sessions can be tailored to all ages, and all ethnic backgrounds. Past workshops have been run with participants from 5-6 years old through to the elderly.
1. Samson’s Bad Hair Day
Explore the Bible’s toughest love story as Delilah plays femme fatale and Samson brings the house down...
2. Elijah – How to make a prophet
What were the prophets? How is their message relevant today? Explore the stories of Elijah in the court of Ahab and Jezebel.
3. Solomon – so many wives, so little time
What does it mean to be a King and how is this relevant to today’s madrichim? See what we can learn from Solomon’s leadership challenges.
4. Yael and the killer cheesecake
Here we meet some of the Bible’s terrific female role models. Yael wins the war by slamming a tent peg through the General’s head...

Israel means different things to different people. This session explores what it means to you. We also look at contemporary Israeli personalities, traditional Zionist thinkers and one or two holiday photos...
8. Back to the Future
This workshop can be tailored to whichever historical area you are studying and bring it to life, such as the Golden Age of Spain, Shtetl Life, Temple Times and pre-Holocaust Germany.
9. The Biblical Radio Show
Visit a music studio and record your own biblical radio play – this session was a massive hit at the NLPS Jewish Arts week where participants recorded SAMSON and everyone went home with their own CD! Groups of up to 20 at a time, available only in Shockwave Studios, Northwood. This is the ultimate 21st Century workshop, where technological sophistication is the name of the game!
10. BiblioDANCE!
Is it possible to interpret a piece of text through dance and movement? Of course! This session is good for all ages and all levels of mobility. We will explore different ways of physicalising a piece of text in a non-intimidating environment. Just dance...
